Apollo Beach, Florida
Living in Apollo Beach, Florida
OLD FLORIDA MEETS NEW FLORIDA ON TAMPA BAY
Apollo Beach has two distinct personalities, divided roughly by US 41, and they balance each other surprisingly well.
On one side is the original Apollo Beach: waterfront neighborhoods, canals, boats, local restaurants, live music, nature and sunsets over Tampa Bay. On the other is a newer Apollo Beach with modern shopping, everyday conveniences and master-planned communities.
You don’t have to choose between the two. Living here gives you both.
OLD-SCHOOL APOLLO BEACH
Head west of US 41 and you’ll find the laid-back waterfront town Apollo Beach has been for generations.
Canals wind behind homes, boats sit at backyard docks and local hangouts give the community a personality of its own. Circles Waterfront Restaurant is a longtime destination at Lands End Marina, Finn’s Dockside offers casual waterfront dining and live music, and Salty Shamrock brings the neighborhood-pub atmosphere with bands and entertainment.
It’s local, social and connected to the water.
SUNSETS & NATURE
The Apollo Beach Nature Preserve may capture this side of town best. Sitting directly on Tampa Bay, it’s a beautiful place to walk, relax, enjoy nature and catch some of the area’s best sunsets.
Despite the name, Apollo Beach isn’t a traditional Gulf swimming-beach community. Life here is more about boating, fishing, nature, canals and Tampa Bay.
THEN YOU CROSS 41
East of US 41, Apollo Beach changes. Here you’ll find newer shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, services and modern conveniences.
You can spend an afternoon on the water, watch the sunset and grab dinner at a local restaurant while still being minutes from everything you need for everyday life.
Old Florida on one side. Modern convenience on the other.
WATERSET & MIRABAY
Waterset represents much of the newer Apollo Beach lifestyle. This master-planned community offers newer homes, trails, green spaces, pools, recreation and community gathering places. Concerts on the lawn, community events and parks create a neighborhood designed around more than just houses.
MiraBay offers another side of Apollo Beach, combining newer luxury homes and community amenities with canals and waterfront living.
Some buyers want a boat behind the house. Others want newer construction, trails and resort-style amenities. Apollo Beach offers both.
LIFE ON THE WATER
Boating is part of Apollo Beach’s identity. Waterfront homes and private docks line many of the older canals, with Tampa Bay just beyond them.
Sometimes you take the car. Sometimes you take the boat.
Apollo Beach is also home to Tampa Electric’s Manatee Viewing Center, where manatees gather
