Amalie Arena Rebrands: What the Benchmark International Name Means for Tampa Bay
Amalie Arena Retires — Meet Benchmark International Arena
For over a decade, it’s been the backdrop for Stanley Cup victories, sold-out concerts, and unforgettable nights in Tampa Bay. But a new name is stepping onto the ice — and it’s bringing a fresh look, big community investments, and a bold new era for the city’s most famous venue.
TAMPA, Fla. — August 13, 2025 — After more than a decade as Amalie Arena, Tampa Bay’s iconic home for hockey, concerts, and major events is entering a new chapter. The downtown venue will now be known as Benchmark International Arena.
Why the Change?
Vinik Sports Group and the Tampa Bay Lightning announced that mergers-and-acquisitions firm Benchmark International has secured the naming rights.
“Benchmark International is a well-respected brand with global reach and strong ties to the Tampa Bay community… This partnership reflects a shared commitment to excellence, service, and community impact,” said VSG CEO Steve Griggs.
Benchmark International’s Chairman, Steven Keane, called it “an honor to join forces with organizations committed to delivering excellence and giving back to the community.”
What’s Changing?
-
Brand overhaul – New signage inside and out, including the premium Benchmark International Club Level, home to the all-inclusive “The Mark” experience.
-
Community investment – Over $3 million will go toward joint initiatives to benefit the Tampa Bay community.
-
Rebrand timeline – The new look will debut before the 2025–26 Lightning season. Free community events are planned for mid-October.
